Bolo account and data deletion

Send a deletion request

  1. Email support@sorted.living with the subject “Delete my Bolo account”.
  2. Identify your account using its registered phone number or email. If you only joined the waitlist or made a trial call, say so and provide the relevant contact detail.
  3. Specify whether you want account deletion or a particular privacy request. An authorized representative should explain their authority.

Do not include passwords, one-time codes, payment credentials or unnecessary identity documents. We may verify your identity using a proportionate process before acting.

Email an account-deletion request

The link opens your email application. You must send the message to submit it; opening this page or the link does not delete an account or confirm receipt. You can also use your own email service to write to the address above.

What deletion covers

Deletion covers the account and associated personal data held by Bolo, including personal identifiers, household profiles and permissions, preferences, identifiable orders and support records, recordings, transcripts and linked technical data, subject to specific lawful exceptions. Identifiable evaluation or training copies and copies held by Bolo’s processors are included in the applicable deletion process.

Removing a name, hashing a phone number, deactivating an account or uninstalling the app is not equivalent to deleting associated personal data. Genuinely anonymous information may be retained where permitted; pseudonymous or linkable records are not automatically anonymous.

What happens to access and orders

Verified account closure must revoke Bolo access, connected-account permissions and future standing or recurring purchasing authority. It does not undo orders already accepted by an ordering service. Each household member may request deletion of their own account without the owner’s spending approval. Shared records need to be handled without improperly exposing or deleting other members’ information.

Bolo does not hold grocery wallet funds. Deleting Bolo does not close your independent Zepto, Swiggy or other service account, withdraw its balance or automatically cancel a placed order. Use that service’s process for its account, funds and refunds. This distinction does not excuse deletion by a provider acting on Bolo’s behalf.

Limited retention and completion

We will explain verification, expected completion time, any retained categories and the reason and period for retention. Necessary legal, security, fraud-prevention or specific dispute records must be restricted to that purpose; an unresolved transaction does not justify retaining unrelated information. Backups require a disclosed expiry schedule and deletion requests must be reapplied if a backup is restored.

Exact retention periods, backup expiry and completion timeframes are still being finalized for the beta. This draft does not promise immediate deletion of every record. Read the Privacy Policy for the full scope and rights.

Current availability

This is a manual contact route. It is not an automated deletion endpoint, and the local preview app has no production account-deletion integration yet. A release that supports live accounts must provide the required accessible in-app deletion process. An ordinary iOS account flow cannot rely solely on requiring users to email support.

Other privacy requests and complaints

For access, correction, consent withdrawal, waitlist removal or a complaint, email a privacy request. Explain the request without unnecessary sensitive information. You will be told the outcome and any applicable escalation options; statutory remedies remain available.
